TL;DR
Hana is the manager of Nyan Nyan Maid Cafe. She’s appraising, not judging. The arc runs in two phases: customer phase (cafe_stage 0-2) and worker phase (cafe_stage 3+). Worker phase requires Femininity 30+ and a real conversation with her first.
The four cafe stages
cafe_stage |
What’s open |
|---|---|
| 0 | Walk in, order, leave. |
| 1 | Talk to Hana (MaidCafe_TalkHana). She asks why you keep coming back. |
| 2 | Apply for a job (MaidCafe_ApplyJob), Fem 30+. |
| 3+ | Working shifts. Special stage events at hana_relationship >= 3. |
How to climb
Stage 0 → 1: keep coming back
Walk in, sit down, order. After a few visits, the Talk to Hana choice unlocks (Fem 15+). She asks what you’re looking for. Honest answer ("I don't know yet.") or commit ("Maybe a job?"). Either way, cafe_stage = 1.
Stage 1 → 2: she has to think about you
At stage 1 she’s interested but the offer hasn’t materialised. Keep visiting, build hana_relationship through repeat conversations. The application choice opens at stage 2 + Fem 30.
Stage 2 → 3: the application
MaidCafe_ApplyJob is the interview equivalent. Costume tiers, shift assignments, regulars dispatch. From stage 3 onward you can work shifts whenever the cafe is open.
Stage 3+ Hana 3+: stage events
MaidCafe_SpecialEvent (the #hotspot:stage choice) unlocks the cosplay days, themed nights, and special performances. The rare high-pressure scenes live here.
What she’s like
Appraising eyes. Calls you “her favorite~” once you’re staff. Honest. Doesn’t pretend the maid cafe is innocent (“most people who walk into a maid cafe in the Red Light District are looking for something”).
Tips and gotchas
Fem gate is real
You cannot apply for the job under Fem 30. Working shifts then push Femininity, so it’s a feedback loop — small gain to break in, larger gains as a regular employee.
The 8-event shuffle bag
Once you’re working shifts, the floor events rotate through an 8-event shuffle bag. Customer types, kitchen mishaps, costume malfunctions, regulars. The bag prevents same-scene-twice-in-a-row.
